Did you know there's such a thing as National Engineer's Week?
Yeah, neither did I.
Apparently, it's been around for 60-some-odd years, and it "celebrates the positive contributions engineers make to society and is a catalyst for outreach across the country to kids and adults alike".
I'm not really clear on what happens during this week. I learned about it because there was an event at a local mall - "Engineer's Day" (not sure what happens there, either), but I don't see much information regarding suggested programming, or recommended activities, or good ways to celebrate.
Nonetheless, I suppose it's cool to have an entire week dedicated to the awesomeness of engineers. Too bad I didn't find out about it until it was over.
Oh well. I suppose there's always next year. :)
